The true purpose is to see things as they are, to observe things as they are, and to let every- thing go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense.
We pull the weeds and bury them near the plant to give it nourishment.
You should rather be grateful for the weeds, because eventually they will enrich your practice. If you have some experience of how the weeds in your mind change into mental nourish- ment, your practice will make remarkable progress.
Our effort in our practice should be directed from achievement to non-achievement.
