Understand, democracy does not require uniformity [but] democracy does require a basic sense of solidarity - the idea that for all our outward differences, we're all in this together; that we rise or fall as one.
To all who serve or have served, it has been the honor of my lifetime to be your Commander-in-Chief. And we all owe you a deep debt of gratitude. But protecting our way of life, that's not just the job of our military. So, just as we, as citizens, must remain vigilant against external aggression, we must guard against a weakening of the values that make us who we are.
Our democracy is not the buildings, not the monuments. It's you being willing to work to make things better and being willing to listen to each other and argue with each other and come together and knock on doors and make phone calls and treat people with respect.
What doesn't kill us makes us suffer.
"Kill two birds with one stone..." why are we killing birds and why does the homicide of defenseless birds epitomize efficiency.
There's bad and there's worse.
Alright, I'm gonna use the shitter.
Sweet baby Jesus.
Hiya
The pursuit of truth can only begin once you start to question and analyze every belief that you ever held dear. If a certain belief passes the tests of evidence, deduction, and logic, it should be kept and defended. If it doesn't, the belief should not only be discarded, but you must also then question why you were led to believe the erroneous information in the first place.
